KELTIC JIHAD Announces New Singer

December 27, 2008

U.K. thrashers KELTIC JIHAD have announced the addition of singer Leilani Mason to the group's ranks. "Unlike their previous incumbent, Leilani is an alto and thus has a range more appropriate to the music being performed as well as having more power behind her voice," the band writes in a statement. "Demo recordings and several rehearsals have proved beyond doubt that she is the right choice for the band in terms of her musical abilities. The band took the view that, this time, it was imperative to find a vocalist with a personality which not only fitted in with the KELTIC JIHAD ethos but also added to the enjoyment of band-related business."

The group adds, "The new year will see KELTIC JIHAD move forward once more. The band will be putting some of the old material to rest and replacing it with some of the new material from the next album. Leilani will be working at double speed to replace the vocal lines on 'The End of Empires' album whilst simultaneously writing vocal lines for the new material. We have every confidence that she will prove to our fans what she has already proved to us."

KELTIC JIHAD's debut album, "The End of Empires", was released earlier in the year.
